With a blend of technical insight and business savvy, you’ll also identify strategic investment opportunities and chart Azure Storage’s direction through cross-team integration and collaboration, both within Azure and across Microsoft. The ideal candidate brings proven expertise as a Product Manager / Technical Program Manager leading hyperscale cloud initiatives, with a proven ability to synthesize complex requirements and provide strategic direction to technical teams. This candidate balances critical thinking with meticulous attention to detail, exercises strong analytical skills and pragmatic technical judgment to drive critical decisions, and excels at communicating plans and building consensus with executive leadership to ensure alignment and sustained momentum across the organization.

Responsibilities

You will partner with Software and Hardware Engineering to design technical solutions across feature areas. You’ll also identify risks and propose data-based mitigations. You’ll define success criteria and create relationships for implementing features for complex cross-functional projects. You’ll coordinate and ensure alignment across organizations. You will deliver on roadmap for multiple feature groups, track project schedules, develop staging and implementation plan, and manage governance programs. You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and writing test cases from scratch. You’ll also lead teams to partner with other departments to collect performance metrics, drive customer support, and lead direct customer engagements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software developmentOR equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 2+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn). 2+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product). 4+ years in technical product management, technical program management, or related technical roles. 2+ year experience with hyperscale cloud storage technologies, distributed systems, or enterprise customer needs. #azurecorejobs Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,100.00 - $202,200.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800.00 - $219,200.00 per year.
