Key Responsibilities

  • * Review, evaluate, and analyze insurance applications for various lines of coverage.
  • * Assess risk factors associated with potential clients and determine policy eligibility.
  • * Collaborate with senior underwriters and insurance agents to ensure accurate and timely underwriting decisions.
  • * Maintain and update policy records, underwriting files, and client communications.
  • * Conduct research on client backgrounds, financials, and other relevant information to make informed recommendations.
  • * Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
  • * Support the underwriting team in preparing reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • * Identify opportunities to improve underwriting processes and workflows.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • * Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic data management tools.
  • * Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in evaluating information.
  • * Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience
  • * 0–2 years of experience in insurance, finance, or risk assessment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • * Internship experience or academic exposure to underwriting, insurance principles, or risk management is an advantage.
  • Working Hours
  • * Full-time remote position.
  • * Flexible working hours, generally aligned with standard business hours (Monday–Friday).
  • * Occasional meetings or collaboration sessions may require scheduled virtual attendance.

  • * Solid understanding of insurance products and basic underwriting principles.
  • * Ability to interpret and apply company guidelines, policies, and regulatory standards.
