About arenaflex – Empowering Communities Through Human Services

arenaflex is a forward‑thinking, non‑profit organization dedicated to creating lasting, positive change for individuals and families across the United States. With a focus on energy assistance, housing stability, and holistic well‑being, arenaflex partners with local agencies, government programs, and community stakeholders to deliver essential services that lift people out of poverty and build stronger, more resilient neighborhoods. Our mission‑driven culture blends compassion with data‑driven decision‑making, ensuring that every program we run is both impactful and accountable.

Position Overview – Why This Role Matters

As a Remote Energy Services Data Entry Clerk (Typist) at arenaflex, you will be the backbone of our Energy Services Programs. Your meticulous attention to detail will keep client records accurate, up‑to‑date, and compliant with funder requirements. By transforming raw information into organized digital files, you enable program staff to deliver timely assistance, track outcomes, and continuously improve service delivery. This is a full‑time, work‑from‑home opportunity that offers flexibility, professional growth, and the satisfaction of contributing to a cause that truly matters.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Enter, verify, and maintain client status records in arenaflex’s Statewide Client Service Center, ensuring that every entry reflects the most current production pipeline.
  • Monitor incoming emails and other communications, logging each document in the arenaflex platform (formerly known as Monday.com) as soon as it is received.
  • Follow program guidelines for the use of all required database systems, including arenaflex’s suite of tools (formerly CMS, CSG eConservation, HEARTWAP, LIHEAP, In Demand, etc.), guaranteeing data integrity and compliance.
  • Organize both digital and paper participant files according to program standards, maintaining strict confidentiality and meeting agency and funder audit requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with program staff to support, enhance, and promote clear communication and consistency in service delivery.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties such as filing, preparing mailings, providing phone coverage, and assisting with ad‑hoc projects as needed.
  • Maintain reliable remote‑work availability, attending virtual meetings, responding to emails promptly, and completing regular duties without supervision.
  • Participate in all required staff meetings, supervision sessions, training workshops, and contractual briefings to stay aligned with organizational goals.
  • Engage in mandatory agency training and pursue additional professional development opportunities to sharpen your skill set.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, ensuring that client information is never disclosed inappropriately.
  • Perform related tasks and special projects that support the overall mission of arenaflex’s Energy Services Programs.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in a human‑service setting or a related field, demonstrating the ability to work with diverse, low‑income individuals and families.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable navigating web‑based databases, spreadsheets, and document‑management systems.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities; bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Organizational Skills: Proven track record of maintaining accurate records, meeting deadlines, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Integrity: Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications – What Sets You Apart

  • Additional coursework or certifications in data management, public administration, or social services.
  • Experience with remote work environments and virtual collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with federal or state energy assistance programs (e.g., LIHEAP) – even though the platform name is now arenaflex, understanding the underlying program logic is valuable.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or another second language, enhancing communication with multilingual client populations.

Core Skills & Competencies – Success Factors

  • Detail‑Oriented Data Entry: Ability to input large volumes of information accurately, spotting inconsistencies before they become issues.
  • Analytical Thinking: Capacity to interpret client data, recognize patterns, and suggest improvements to workflow processes.
  • Time Management: Skill in prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and balancing routine duties with unexpected requests.
  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable working with program managers, caseworkers, and external partners in a virtual setting.
  • Technology Adaptability: Quick learner who can master new software tools (including arenaflex’s evolving platform) with minimal guidance.
  • Customer‑Focused Mindset: Commitment to serving clients with empathy, respect, and professionalism.
