Our client, a premier early childhood development center in the heart of New York City, New York, US , is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Early Childhood Educator with a specialization in creative play to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the educational experiences of young children in a supportive and stimulating environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging, play-based curricula that foster cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. You will lead a team of dedicated educators, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. Responsibilities include: Developing and executing innovative lesson plans aligned with early learning standards. Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity. Observing and assessing children's progress, documenting key developmental milestones. Collaborating effectively with parents and guardians to build strong home-school partnerships. Managing classroom resources and supplies efficiently. Mentoring and supporting junior teaching staff, conducting regular performance reviews. Participating in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of best practices in early childhood education. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, at least 5 years of progressive experience in childcare settings, and proven leadership skills. A strong understanding of child development theories and creative pedagogy is essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are paramount. The ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the needs of a diverse student population is crucial. This is a hybrid role, requiring presence in the center for key program activities and team meetings, with potential for remote administrative tasks and curriculum development.
