Short-Term Merchandise Planning Analyst

Remote role Full-time Open position

Rue Gilt Groupe is a premier off-price e-commerce portfolio company, combining three complementary brands. They are seeking a Short-Term Merchandise Planning Analyst who will utilize data analysis to optimize category merchandising performance and support the Merchandise Planning team in achieving key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze historical performance to inform future action and strategies and capitalize on future opportunities for success
  • Develop an understanding of key performance metrics, such as gross demand, gross margin profit and inventory productivity
  • Provide analytical support to the Merchandise Planning team, contributing to effective decision-making and the overall success of the merchandise planning strategies
  • Track and evaluate the financial performance of merchandise categories against established KPI’s
  • Organize and prioritize workload for self to ensure timeliness and accuracy
  • Organize, maintain, and track the in-season event frameworks, supporting the overall operations of the business
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within merchandise planning
  • Foster a collaborative culture within the planning team
  • Actively participate in self-development
  • Build and foster effective relationships with Merchandising, Programing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of Merchandising strategies to support overall business objectives

Skills

  • An effective communicator who loves to collaborate with others
  • Ability to adapt well to changes in direction and priorities in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • 0-2 years' experience: internships and co-ops are welcome
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel); comfortable with reporting tools
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
