Job Description

Global Health Partnerships and Programs Manager is a growth-focused position that will help language communities flourish by advancing well-defined health outcomes through strategic partnerships, resource development, and program expansion. SIL is uniquely positioned to support global health equity through the lens of local language and culture. This role will play a key part in strengthening and expanding the Health and Language Initiative (HLI) by cultivating partnerships, pursuing sustainable funding opportunities, supporting program growth, and advancing strategic initiatives across the organization. As the initiative continues to mature, the Global Health Partnerships and Programs Manager will take on increasing leadership responsibilities and is expected to play a significant role in shaping the future direction of the HLI, including the potential to provide leadership and oversight for the HLI team.Key Responsibilities Support the HLI Team Leader in advancing the strategic growth and sustainability of the Health and Language Initiative. Using innovation and creativity, coordinate and support health related pilot projects occurring at the global, area, and country levels. Cultivate and maintain relationships with global health organizations, foundations, government entities, academic institutions, and corporate partners. Identify, pursue, and help secure diverse funding opportunities that support long-term program sustainability. Support donor engagement, grant development, partnership cultivation, and stewardship activities. Identify opportunities to expand HLI programming and increase SIL's impact within the global health sector. Facilitate collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to advance strategic initiatives and partnerships. Develop and maintain program resources, partnership materials, presentations, and other collateral that support communications, fundraising,, and program growth. Track partnerships, funding, and project outcomes and provide improvement recommendations to leadership. Contribute to the long term vision and development of the Health and Language Initiative and prepare for increasing leadership responsibilities as the initiative grows. Complete other duties and special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of or experience in global health, public health, international development, community development, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic relationships across cultures and sectors. Understanding of fundraising, donor engagement, grant development, or partnership development. Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work effectively with distributed and diverse teams. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. Proficiency with workplace technologies including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, customer relationship management systems, and project management tools. Detail oriented with strong initiative and follow through. Ability to influence, collaborate, and lead through relationships. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in global health, public health, international development, nonprofit management, community development, or a related field. Experience working cross culturally and engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders. Experience in partnership development, fundraising, donor relations, grant management, or resource mobilization preferred. Experience supporting or managing international development or global health programs preferred. Previous nonprofit experience preferred. Experience leading teams, coordinating volunteers, or developing others is a plus. Other Considerations Remote Full-time/Part-time

Compensation
