Summary: The Claims Administrative Assistant provides general support to Claims team, reviews claim forms and documents for accuracy and completion, obtains missing information as necessary. Essential Duties and Functions include the following. Other duties as may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Lender Placed Claims team by performing administrative duties.
  • Follows up with adjusting companies for overdue claims reports.
  • Provides general claims status updates by phone.
  • Adds necessary claims documents to the electronic claims file.
  • Prepares claim check payments.
  • Adhere to a set schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Ability to use discretion, exercise good judgment and resourcefulness.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with insurance claims
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business or financial related discipline
