Our client is seeking a proactive and versatile HR Generalist to join their dynamic team in a hybrid capacity, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, US . This role is ideal for an HR professional looking to contribute across a broad spectrum of HR functions within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will play a crucial role in supporting employees and management in all aspects of human resources, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. Key responsibilities include managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for new hires and a professional exit for departing employees. You will administer HR policies and programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This includes developing and implementing HR procedures, as well as maintaining accurate employee records in the HRIS. You will also be involved in talent acquisition, assisting with job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination. The HR Generalist will provide support for employee relations matters, conducting investigations when necessary and offering guidance to resolve conflicts and disciplinary issues. You will also contribute to the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management. Assisting with performance management processes, including goal setting and performance reviews, is another key aspect of this role. You will support training and development initiatives, identifying needs and coordinating relevant programs. To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role is required. Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices is essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are a must, along with the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality. Familiarity with HRIS systems and standard office software is expected.
