Internal Buyer/Purchasing Location: Waltham, Massachusetts (Onsite) Employment Type: Contract Role Overview We are seeking an Internal Buyer/Purchaser for a part-time contract role, approximately 20 hours per week. The position involves managing internal production purchasing needs, transitioning purchasing responsibilities from the finance group to operations. The ideal candidate will handle the end-to-end purchasing process, from processing purchase orders to vendor communication and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

Process purchase orders (POs) and manage credit card transactions. Execute purchases through various portals, such as Amazon, and share tracking details. Follow up with vendors regarding delays, issues, or order status. Perform end-of-month reconciliation for the finance department. Manage the purchasing process to support internal production. Handle reconciliation and credit card transaction processing.

Required Qualifications

Experience: Demonstrated experience in a purchasing or buyer role. Experience with reconciliation processes. Technical Skills: Proficiency with QuickBooks is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Odoo or other ERP systems. Experience in manufacturing or engineering purchasing. A functional understanding of how inventory systems work. Familiarity with Jira for task management.

Compensation

The anticipated pay rate for this position is $28.00 per hour.
