Why This Role Matters We are looking for an autonomous, detail-oriented, and compliance-minded Human Resources Generalist to oversee our day-to-day HR operations. While this is a fully remote position, it carries a heavy emphasis on New York State employment law. We need a self-starter who can confidently serve as a trusted guide to our clinical and administrative staff, maintain flawless data integrity, and protect the organization through sharp compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure continuous alignment with federal and New York State employment laws, managing wages, paid leave, and workplace safety compliance.
  • Policy & Guidance: Act as the primary point of contact and advisor to both staff and organizational leadership regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Strategy & Enhancement: Partner alongside senior leadership to research, conceptualize, and implement progressive HR initiatives that refine company policy and enrich the overall employee lifecycle.
  • Data & Record Management: Own and maintain data integrity within our HRIS system, generating vital data reports and overseeing secure, organized digital employee files.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as an empathetic and objective point of contact for employee concerns; facilitate fair, timely, and compliant resolutions for all workplace relations matters.
  • Operations Support: Supervise comprehensive benefits administration, cross-functional payroll coordination, and standard employee leave management tracking (FMLA, NSY PFL, etc.).
  • Performance Culture: Assist and facilitate the structure of cyclical performance management reviews and drive systematic updates to the corporate employee handbook.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of dedicated HR Generalist experience (directly managing and supporting teams RECENTLY within NYS required).
  • Legal Acumen: Superior, practical working knowledge of NYS labor laws, compliance frameworks, wage/hour regulations, and New York Paid Family Leave (PFL).
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication habits paired with refined analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise utilizing modern HRIS and EHR databases, tracking software, and integrated payroll platforms.
  • Adaptability: Confident capability to thrive, pivot, and execute objectives autonomously within a highly flexible, fast-paced, fully remote workspace.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year Benefits:
