RTX is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to lead and manage the embedded electronics components spend. This role encompasses overseeing over $650M in embedded component spend within the Circuit Card Assemblies and Wire Harnesses sub-commodities. The successful candidate will focus on leveraging embedded spend with direct component procurement to develop a robust multiyear pipeline of savings while ensuring supply assurance to support increasing demand across our operations. What You Will Do: Develop and execute cost reduction initiatives across various sub-categories. Manage RFQ processes, perform detailed analyses, and prepare comprehensive business cases. Provide executive-level updates and regular communication on project progress. Conduct data-driven analyses to support negotiation of agreements and pricing. Collaborate with contracts and legal teams to interpret supplier obligations and ensure compliance. Act as the primary point of contact for supplier escalations and issue resolution. Facilitate regular business reviews and conduct supplier visits to strengthen partnerships. Develop and implement a distribution strategy for embedded component management. Define and maintain a 3-5 year commodity vision, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Build and maintain a multiyear pipeline to support cost reduction and operational efficiency. Develop and execute a robust Supplier Relationship Strategy (SSR) for Embedded Components.

Qualifications

You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience Proven success in developing and implementing electronics commodity strategies. Strong knowledge of defense industry regulations, including FAR/DFAR compliance requirements. Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiations, contract management, and agreement documentation.

Qualifications

We Prefer: Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline. In-depth knowledge of the global semiconductor market, including market trends and dynamics. Familiarity with supply chain risk management and mitigation strategies. Experience working in a highly matrixed organization, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multiple business units. Skills and Competencies: Proven leadership and strategic thinking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building strong internal and external relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex sourcing challenges. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
