Director, Product Management (BSS/Platform Services)

Why this role matters: As the Director of Product for BSS & Platform Services, you will be accountable for driving Vonage’s product strategy for the shared platform capabilities that span across Lead-to-cash (BSS), Data Analytics, Identity Management, Accounts & Users and API Gateway. You will lead and guide a team of product managers focused on evolving and transforming our critical shared and platform services for both internal and external users, from sales, commercial and revenue operations to developers and customers. This role’s primary function is to be the owner of the roadmap and vision for the BSS and Platform Services. You will be responsible for developing and executing on our future product strategy. You will lead a skilled team of Product Managers and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Sales and Marketing functions to enable growth and profitability. You will engage with customers and internal teams to understand their needs and help them successfully grow their businesses. Your key responsibilities: Take comprehensive ownership of the Lead-to-Cash (BSS), Data analytics, Identity, Accounts & users and API gateway product offering in terms of product strategy, product capabilities, competitiveness and differentiation, profitability, compliance, certifications, security and architectural evolution Define and execute product strategy, including the evolution of AI integrations and capabilities Operationally manage the team Collaborate closely with other Portfolio Leaders, Product Managers, Sales & Marketing leaders, Carrier Team & Engineering Leadership. As Product Director of a large shared service Product line, you will be responsible for constant prioritization and trade offs across all product lines Drive development speed and efficiency in collaboration with Engineering and Operations Provide strong stewardship of the digital transformation of our business support systems and new back-office services integration What you'll bring Required: Extensive experience in Product Management, with proven leadership managing cross-cultural, geographically distributed teams - operating at similar level (Director) Knowledge of enterprise SaaS such as CRM, Analytics, Billing & Rating systems Experience with back-office systems such as: Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and the ability to influence through data and presentations Expertise in managing global, enterprise-scale cloud services, including technical, security, and regulatory aspects Experience delivering complex projects or business transformations in the BSS and OSS areas due to acquisitions, strong growth and digital transformations Experience with security, scalability and best practices around high-volume transactions use-cases, especially with API Gateways, Identity Management and Data analytics Previous software development experience at some point in your career (strongly preferred) or as a minimum well versed in using SQL, Kibana and understanding complex data models in detail Adaptable, with a growth mindset and a track record of success in startups or large enterprises Experience we consider a plus: Experience with Agile methodologies & tools (e.g. Scaled Agile, Scrum, Kanban) Ability to work with data in formats such as CSV, XML, JSON, etc. An understanding of business system integration models, SOA and APIs Experience using Jira, Confluence, and project management tools Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field How you’ll benefit: Medical Insurance Glasses Reimbursement Life Insurance – Allianz Family Kafeteria – My Benefit Ericsson Care Line Discretionary Time Off (DTO) Volunteer Time Off (VTO) Additional benefits and perks will be discussed during the interview process #LI-DHC1 There’s no perfect candidate.
