Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative on our Healthcare Service Specialist team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive exceptional care and support throughout their healthcare journey. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Making outbound courtesy calls to patients to ensure they're receiving their statements, answer any questions about their account(s), and reach a payment resolution against their account(s)
  • Receiving incoming calls from patients to answer their questions and reach payment resolution against their account(s)
  • Consistently meeting production and quality assurance standards
  • Processing credit card payments accurately against the patient's account(s)
  • Maintaining quality customer service by following company policies and procedures as well as policies and procedures specific to each customer
  • Protecting customer information by keeping all information confidential
  • Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Documenting and updating patient accounts with accurate and timely information
  • Working effectively in a fast-paced environment and communicating consistently within the team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consistently meet production and quality assurance standards
  • Process credit card payments accurately against the patient's account(s)
  • Maintain quality customer service by following company policies and procedures as well as policies and procedures specific to each customer
  • Protect customer information by keeping all information confidential
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Document and update patient accounts with accurate and timely information
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and communicate consistently within the team

Minimum Requirements

* Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to follow through on issues to resolution
  • Must be able to act both independently and as a team member
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience needed
  • One year or more providing customer service support over the phone in a remote setting
  • Experience working in a high-volume call center setting (x calls per hour)
  • Experience with healthcare terminology

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a chat queue

  • Bilingual skills in Spanish

Education

* High school or equivalent (Preferred)

  • Paid Differential for Spanish Speaking Bilingual Agents
