Specialist, Instructional Design

Remote role Full-time Open position

Job Description:

Supports the creation, refinement, development, and implementation of learning products for the organization
Designs and implements programs to ensure institutional compliance with federal and state policies
Manages the development of curriculum and professional development materials for instructor-led delivery platforms
Updates existing course materials to reflect changes in law and practice
Identifies training needs and coordinates with subject matter experts and faculty
Performs analyses to determine appropriate learning delivery options
Constructs supportive materials to enhance performance improvement strategies
Aligns course content with optimum instructional methods including online and blended approaches
Maintains a current understanding of nursing and healthcare professions curriculum

Requirements:

A Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Learning Science, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Assessment, Learning Design, Curriculum Design, or a related field is required
A minimum of three years of participating in the design of learning technology, software, or learning environments is required
A minimum of two years of experience developing courses in LMS and authoring tools is required
Demonstrated experience designing assessments within distance learning experiences is required
Demonstrated understanding of concept-based, competency-based, project-based, and other learning design models is required
Demonstrated experience contributing to learning design systems with numerous stakeholders and requirements is required
A minimum of three years of experience gathering and applying peer-reviewed scholarly research and user research is preferred
Experience in Nursing/Allied Health/Health Sciences Education preferred
Experience in micro-credentialing preferred
