Conduct thorough investigations of auto damage claims to accurately assess the extent of damage and determine appropriate settlements for customers. Utilize knowledge of insurance policies, laws, and regulations to properly evaluate claims and make fair and accurate decisions. Negotiate with customers, repair facilities, and other parties involved in claims to reach fair and efficient settlements. Maintain accurate and detailed records of claims, including documentation of assessments, negotiations, and settlements. Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates and answering questions about their claims in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with other team members, including appraisers, attorneys, and supervisors, to effectively handle complex claims and provide exceptional customer service. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and changes, including new laws and regulations, to ensure accurate and compliant handling of claims. Provide guidance and support to less experienced adjusters, sharing knowledge and expertise to assist in their development. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness in handling claims.
