Backup Engineer
Job Description: Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage backup solutions using Commvault, Networker, Avamar, and Data Domain.
- Monitor and maintain backup systems to ensure optimal performance and data integrity.
- Perform regular backup and recovery tests to validate the effectiveness of backup solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backup-related issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with IT teams to develop and implement data protection strategies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.
- Document backup configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and IT staff on backup solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in backup technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Backup Engineer or similar role.
- Expertise in Commvault, Networker, Avamar, and Data Domain.
- Strong understanding of data protection principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving backup issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Commvault Certified Professional, EMC Proven Professional) are a plus.
