Our FinTech and Blockchain practice covers crypto regulation, money transmitter licensing, DeFi, AI and intellectual property, blockchain compliance, and business formation for startups and growth-stage companies nationwide. POSITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced attorney to join our FinTech and Blockchain practice. The attorney will advise a diverse client base, manage relationships, contribute to business development, and bring a practical, business-minded approach to complex legal and regulatory matters. We anticipate that this will initially be a part-time position with varying hours, but could eventually become full-time. This is a fully remote position. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise clients on FinTech, blockchain, crypto regulation, and digital asset compliance
  • Counsel clients on money transmitter licensing and multi-jurisdictional payments compliance
  • Guide clients through DeFi structures, tokenization, and stablecoin regulation
  • Advise on AI, intellectual property, NFT/Web3 matters, and smart contract enforceability
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts across technology and business matters
  • Support clients on business formation, entity structuring, and corporate governance
  • Manage and grow a client portfolio; originate new business independently
  • Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development and thought leadership

QUALIFICATIONS

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; active U.S. bar admission in good standing
  • Substantial experience in FinTech, blockchain, crypto, or emerging technology law
  • Background in regulatory compliance, licensing, or digital asset matters
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and
  • Proven track record at generating business.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to translate complex legal issues into actionable guidance
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; ability to think like an operator, not just a lawyer
  • Experience in money transmitter licensing, AI/IP, or DeFi structures is a plus
  • Minimum of five years of experience practicing at a nationally recognized law firm.

We are a good fit for an attorney who currently has their own solo practice and sees the benefit of being part of a 25-attorney full-service business law firm with a strong presence in the FinTech/Blockchain space, while still enjoying much of the independence, autonomy, and flexibility of having their own practice. Benefits of being part of the firm include:

  • Support from the firm's business development team to build and expand the attorney's practice.
  • Firm support for client on-boarding, invoicing, and collections.

Hourly compensation ranges from $200/hour to $350/hour, depending on experience. Attorney will also receive origination credit for bringing in work that is done by other attorneys in the firm. Job Type: Contract Pay: $200.00 - $350.00 per hour Benefits:
