Key Responsibilities:

As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for:

Customer Experience:

+ Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. + Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience. + Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Operations:

+ Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service. + Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items. + Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested. + Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed. + Keep counters and shelves clean and well-merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.

Pharmacy Support:

+ Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow. + Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly. + Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs. + Verify medicine is correct and check for possible interactions. + Report prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

+ Handle telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist. + Process manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner. + Assist and support Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. + Maintain knowledge of Company asset protection techniques and file claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving Rx drugs. + Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or state registration preferred.

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment with a focus on customer service.

  • Knowledge of pharmacy systems and equipment.
  • Certification in pharmacy technology (PTCB) or state registration.
  • Experience with inventory management and asset protection techniques.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
