AI-Based Performance Creative Specialist

Hi there, We’re looking for a highly skilled Meta Performance Creative Strategist to help drive customer acquisition for our collagen-based liquid skincare brand through high-converting ad creative. This is not just a design or editing role. We need someone who can think like a direct-response marketer and creative strategist, someone who understands how to research the market, identify winning angles, and turn insights into compelling ad concepts, scripts, storyboards, and creative briefs. You should be deeply familiar with what makes paid social creative perform, especially on Meta, and know how to develop assets that speak directly to customer pain points, desires, objections, and motivations. Job Title: Meta Performance Creative Strategist Type: Freelance / Contract Industry: Beauty / Skincare / DTC Ecommerce What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Conducting competitor research and market research to identify winning creative patterns, messaging trends, offers, hooks, and angles
  • Performing angle development based on customer psychology, including: pain points, desires, objections, buying triggers,emotional and practical motivations.
  • Creating performance-focused creative strategies for Meta ads
  • Writing strong creative briefs aligned with our brand voice, customer persona, and campaign goals
  • Developing ad concepts, scripts, and storyboards for static, video, and UGC-style creatives
  • Producing or directing the production of ad creatives that feel native to the platform and are built to convert
  • Creating and testing multiple hook variations, messaging angles, and creative directions
  • Using existing brand assets, past winning creatives, product images/videos, customer insights, and AI tools where appropriate to develop new high-performing creatives
  • Ensuring product integration looks realistic, polished, and aligned with our premium brand

Types of Creatives We Need Help With: - Meta ad videos - Static ad graphics - Before-and-after style creatives (with our guidance and within platform/policy considerations) - Creative concepts for testing across different stages of awareness - Graphics that can also be adapted for Google ads and Klaviyo email marketing What We’re Looking For... You are a strong fit if you have:

  • Proven experience in Meta performance creative strategy for DTC ecommerce brands
  • Strong understanding of direct-response marketing
  • Experience in the beauty, skincare, wellness, or women’s products space
  • A track record of developing creatives that are built from research and strategy, not guesswork
  • Expertise in: competitor research, customer research, angle development, hook creation, scriptwriting, storyboarding, creative testing strategy
  • A sharp eye for what makes ad creative feel authentic, engaging, and conversion-focused
  • Familiarity with using AI tools to support creative ideation or production, while keeping outputs realistic and brand-appropriate
  • Ability to move beyond “pretty creatives” and focus on performance

You Must Be Able To Show: Please apply with examples of:

  • Meta ad creatives you developed that performed well
  • Creative strategy work such as: research docs, messaging angles, hooks, scripts, storyboards, briefs
  • Work in the skincare, beauty, wellness, or female-focused DTC niche is strongly preferred
  • Any examples of how you used AI tools to enhance creative production are a plus

Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone who can answer questions like: What is the market already responding to? What pain points and desires should we lean into? What objections are preventing conversion? Which hooks are most likely to stop the scroll? What creative formats and messages should we test next?
