Mercor is hiring experienced Collection professionals

to join an exciting collaboration with a top AI research lab. This role involves contributing to the development and evaluation of advanced AI systems designed to replicate real-world workflows across collecting, curation, and preservation.

• *Key Responsibilities**

- Create and assess complex problems and tasks related to the practice of collecting, including strategies, organization, preservation, and evaluation of personal or professional collections - Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, practicality, and relevance to real-world collecting practices - Provide clear written feedback on collection-related content and evaluations - Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers to iterate and improve model performance - Ensure accuracy and alignment with best practices in collection management, categorization, and expertise in all content used to train or evaluate AI systems

• *Ideal Qualifications**

- Deep personal or professional experience as a collection expert, with demonstrated ability in building, organizing, or curating collections (e.g., books, memorabilia, art, antiques, niche items) - Strong knowledge of collecting strategies, valuation, preservation, and community practices around collections - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking - Prior experience in curation, appraisals, or collection-focused communities is a plus

• *Project Timeline**

- Start Date: Immediate - Duration: 1–2 months - Commitment: Part-time, ~20 hours/week (potential to extend to 40 hours/week)
