Senior Tableau Developer / Lead

Remote role Full-time Open position

Strictly W2 Only - No C2C Job Title: Senior Tableau Developer/ Lead Location: Remote Duration: 6 Months Contract Work Type: Remote ⚠️ US Citizens, Permanent residents and H4EAD are preferred Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of

enterprise Tableau dashboards, scorecards, and reports .

  • Build intuitive and interactive

data visualizations for business and executive stakeholders.

  • Prepare and transform datasets using

SQL, ETL processes, and data blending techniques .

  • Optimize dashboard performance by tuning

queries, extracts, calculations, and workbook design .

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and convert them into scalable BI solutions.
  • Manage

Tableau Server / Tableau Online administration activities including: Publishing workbooks, Scheduling refreshes, User access & permissions, Performance monitoring

  • Validate

data integrity, consistency, and reporting accuracy across dashboards.

  • Design and support

data models, mappings, and reporting layer architecture .

  • Provide best practices, governance, and leadership for Tableau development initiatives.
  • Support enterprise reporting modernization and analytics strategy.

Must Haves

  • 10+ years of IT experience

.

  • 6+ years of experience in Tableau / BI / Data Visualization roles

.

  • Strong hands-on expertise with:

Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server

  • Expert-level

SQL development experience with databases such as: Oracle, SQL Server

  • Strong experience analyzing

large and complex datasets .

  • Experience translating business needs into

dashboards and actionable insights .

  • Experience with:

Data modeling, Data mapping, Data blending

  • Strong understanding of:

Data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, BI architecture

  • Strong stakeholder communication and requirement gathering skills.
  • Ability to lead reporting initiatives independently.

Nice to Have

  • Tableau Certification:

Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Tableau Desktop Specialist

  • Experience with:

Python, R

  • Experience with cloud data platforms:

Snowflake, AWS Redshift

  • Healthcare / UCSF data domain experience.
  • Experience leading enterprise BI transformation projects.
