Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4; focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities, and core curriculum. We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8; focused on advisory, exploratory, and experiential learning opportunities. Our high school is for grades 9-12; offering college, vocational, and work-ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students. A Career Technical Education Center (CTE) provides students with opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers, and cabinetry. Available Position - Elementary Vocal Music Long-term Substitute (Grades 1 - 4) Location: Jefferson Elementary School, 318 Payne Street South, New Ulm, MN Preferred Qualities: Through general music classes, elementary music teachers spend time introducing children to various musical performers and styles. Students learn about creating, performing, and listening to music. Elementary music teachers provide students with basic vocal instruction and teach them about various instruments, including percussion, brass, woodwinds, and string instruments. They use hands-on activities to teach children pitch, rhythm, and music notation. Start Date: As agreed upon Salary/Wage: Approved long-term substitute teachers are paid off the base salary in the Teacher Master Agreement at the start of their assignment.
