Job Title: Stakeholder and Communications Manager (Consultant) – National Infrastructure Location: Remote, with national travel when required Duration: Permanent, 4 days per week Start: ASAP Salary: £55,000 - £65,000, pro rata At Pace, our consultants genuinely care about the impact our work has on our customers and their customers alike. Due to growth of an ongoing programme of work, you will join our team as Stakeholder and Communications Manager within the National Infrastructure sector where you will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships across diverse stakeholder groups on behalf of our clients. Role: The Stakeholder and Communications Manager will proactively engage with planning and implementing stakeholder engagement and communications strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives, governance standards, and industry best practice. Accountabilities of the role will include: Oversight of stakeholder engagement and communications:- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholder and communications issues and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with statutory consultation requirements and industry codes of practice
- Promote transparency and inclusivity in engagement activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in stakeholder engagement and communications processes
- Identify, map, and prioritise stakeholders across government, industry, and community sectors
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including Local MPs, local authorities and delivery partners
- Facilitate engagement forums, consultations, and workshops to gather input and manage expectations
- Monitor stakeholder sentiment and proactively address concerns to maintain programme reputation and support delivery to time and budget
- Design and deliver integrated communications plans covering internal and external audiences
- Produce high-quality content for reports, presentations, press releases, and digital channels
- Ensure messaging consistency across all programme communications and media
- Manage crisis communications and reputational risk in line with organisational protocols
- Oversee branding and compliance with client and industry standards
- Experience in stakeholder engagement and communications within complex environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence at senior levels
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder landscapes and resolve conflicts
- Strong interpersonal skills in complex settings
- Knowledge of infrastructure sector standards and public consultation requirements.
