POSITION TITLE:                Manager, Data Science and Analytics

POSITION LOCATION:       654 Richland Hills Dr., San Antonio, TX 78245 - 100% remote position

HOURS:                                 Full Time/40 hours

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for projects to enhance inventory planning and allocation while delivering actionable insights that support critical operations. Collaborate closely across teams, driving evolution of advanced analytics capabilities to empower data-driven decisions and maximize operational efficiency. Use understanding of business to capture pain-points for customers and teams, applying a "business-value" lens to all initiatives. Take ownership of projects, partnering with functional areas to understand challenges and apply analytical skillset to design solutions, with a focus on hands on data analysis, modeling, and problem solving. Balance time across individual contributions and leadership tasks. Directly tackling complex analytics and data science challenges, while guiding team to success. Develop models and analyses, work independently to synthesize data, develop models, and deliver actionable insights that align with business objectives. Build scalable tools and reporting systems, constructing and refining reusable data products and front-end reporting to support ongoing business needs. Provide structure and guidance for direct reports, effectively delegating tasks, but also delivering results when individual contributions are needed, to meet timelines or tackle particularly challenging initiatives. Communicate progress to business stakeholders and obtain required inputs by presenting decision points in clear, accessible way. Create and maintain documentation to educate teams and business on tools and key concepts. Review and communicate value of new opportunities and/or initiatives with business.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Engineering or related quantitative field of study and 5 years of progressive experience in Business Analytics. Employer will accept a Master’s degree or equivalent Data Science, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Engineering or related quantitative field of study and 3 years of post-baccalaureate experience in Business Analytics in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of progressive experience.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience with:    1) application of analytics and modelling to address business challenges. 2) proposing solutions to technical problems and assessing work from a technical and business logic perspective. 3) data analytics toolset and platforms, to include SQL Server, Looker, Alteryx, Snowflake, and Python. 4) write and debug SQL code to solve real-world data requirements. 5) applying statistical methods (including EDA, hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and Causal Analytics) in Python. 6) working with BI software to include at least two of the following: Looker, Power BI, MicroStrategy or Tableau. 7) collaborative programming tools to include Git and Confluence.

SALARY: The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

$134,597 – $194,700/year. Exact rate of pay will be based on position, location, and experience level.
