Part-Time Lecturer Pool
POSITION
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool in Spanish to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Spanish language, Hispanic literatures and cultures, and/or Hispanic linguistics.
Areas of Specialization
We are seeking highly motivated, well-organized individuals to teach in the following subject areas:
- Spanish language (introductory to advanced)
- Hispanic literatures and cultures (both Peninsular and Latin America)
- Hispanic linguistics
- Candidates for 400- and 500-level courses must hold a Ph.D. in Hispanic literatures and cultures, Hispanic linguistics, or a related field, and possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
- Candidates for 300-level courses must be at least a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in Hispanic literatures and cultures, Hispanic linguistics, or a related field, and possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish.
- Candidates holding a terminal M.A. degree in Hispanic literatures and cultures, Hispanic linguistics, or a related field will be considered for lower-division language courses (100 and 200 level).
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- This position requires the legal right to work in the United States of America. California State University, Fullerton cannot sponsor part-time faculty for work visas or permanent residence.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching
- Preference will also be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
