Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Healthcare Data Entry Representative, you'll play a critical role in our medical records and claims processing team. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately and efficiently entering medical data into our systems, including patient information, medical history, and treatment plans
  • Reviewing and processing new cases, including medical reviews, claims, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
  • Utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel to create and edit documents, including converting files to PDF format and inserting tables
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure the secure handling of sensitive patient information
  • Collaborating with our team to resolve any data entry errors or discrepancies
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in healthcare data management

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong background in healthcare, including experience working in a healthcare facility or with medical records
  • Excellent data entry skills, with the ability to accurately and efficiently enter large volumes of data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience working with medical claims, EOBs, and diagnosis codes
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and column insertion
  • Certification in medical coding or a related field
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Hourly rate: $16.00 - $16.00 per hour
  • Eligibility for benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, critical illness, accident, and hospital insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions, life insurance, short and long-term disability, health spending account, transportation benefits, and employee assistance program
