JLG is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our Raleigh Reset team, supporting the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of material handling and industrial equipment. In this role, you will work alongside experienced technicians to ensure equipment reliability, uphold safety standards, and contribute to efficient operations in a fast paced environment.

YOUR IMPACT 

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist with repairs of material handling equipment and other industrial equipment in order to learn safe work habits and gain knowledge of machine repair, calibration, and adjustments.

  • Perform simple repairs and preventive maintenance under supervision of the lead mechanic.

  • Clean machines in preparation to be moved into shop for estimation or repairs.

  • Support other technicians in inspection and diagnosis of equipment issues. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.

  • Zero to one (0-1) years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Knowledge of equipment repair and maintenance.

  • Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail oriented. 

  • Ability to adapt to a fast pace work environment.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.

  • The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting items up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment.

  • Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.

  • Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.
