(GA) Graduate Assistant English/Professional & Digital Media Writing (PDMW) 2026 - 2027

Type of Position

Graduate Assistant with the English/Professional & Digital Media Writing department working 20 hours per week/300 hours per semester.

Pay Rate

$8.34 per hour

All graduate students, regardless of their acceptance or familiarity with the Professional and Digital Media Writing (PDWM) program, are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement plans to market, promote, and publicize programs to the campus community;

Assist with website development and updating;

Assist in faculty-led research and community-partnerships projects, conferences, and publications;

Serve as mentor to other graduate students and facilitate contact among students when needed;

Attend English Department events (virtual or in-person);

Represent ESU at recruitment and information sessions or other meetings when needed; Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with social media accounts;

Some graphic design experience. Required qualifications:

Experience with Google Suite, InDesign, and/or other design software or platforms;

Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication sharp attention to detail;

Able to work remotely and meet on Zoom;

Intermediate computer and internet skills.
