Patent Docket Specialist

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP is one of the world’s leading global law firms, seeking to hire a Docket Specialist to join their Intellectual Property Patent Support Unit. The Docket Specialist will coordinate and maintain all areas of the patent computerized docket system and will have daily contact with practice group lawyers and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all areas of the CPI database including:All information pertaining to each specific application and docket due dates, and remarks.Incoming domestic and foreign client related communications.Incoming Patent and Trademark Office communications filed in the Patent office.Processing delivery of incoming electronic communications pursuant to departmental procedures.Providing docket, status, and maintenance reports to patent personnel and lawyers

Skills

  • High school diploma and a minimum of one (1) year of docketing experience or equivalent knowledge of patent processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Time-management and organizational skills to prioritize work and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a collaborative team environment
  • Flexibility to work overtime is preferred
