GradePower Learning Largo is looking for an upbeat, reliable, enthusiastic, dynamic part-time tutor who wants to work in a rewarding teaching environment. Candidates must be comfortable teaching students in 9th to 12th grade through algebra 2. We are currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning center. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys numbers, equations, and language and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas. SAT/ACT tutoring experience - own scores in the 85th-90th percentile required. Teacher-tutors at GradePower Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods. Position Requirements: All Teacher-Tutors at GradePower Learning work portions of after-school and evening hours, 2:30 pm - 7:00pm, M-Th, and until 5:00 on Fridays, and optional Saturdays (10:00am - 1:00pm). Build your own schedule of 4 - 20 hours per week. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must. This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Background check will be completed upon hire. • Bachelor?s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• College students will be considered
• Teaching certification an asset

Experience:

• Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a 9th to 12th grade (or equivalent) level is preferred
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
• Strong math skills through algebra 2 and ability to guide students? understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time

Responsibilities (Position Details): You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Following the GradePower Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Filling in post-lesson notes
• Completing daily student communication updates
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times
