Summary of Job Duties: Adult Education Part-time Administrative Specialist/Career Coach
Grant Funded Position
The Administrative Specialist/Career Coach works under the supervision of the Director of Adult Education and will be responsible for providing general program support at the UACCM Adult Education Faulkner County facility in Conway. The work schedule at the Conway Markham Street facility will consists of daytime and early evening hours.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Manage the Faulkner County Technology Lending Library program.
- Upon completion of the Career Service Provider training program offered by Arkansas Adult Education, serve as the designated Career Coach for Faulkner County.
- Serve as a substitute GED® examiner.
- Assist with daily data entry tasks.
- Greet students and visitors in a professional manner as they enter the UACCM Adult Education facility in Conway.
- Serve as the switchboard attendant and answer incoming calls when necessary.
- Schedule appointments for new student intake and orientation sessions.
- Assist students with the completion of the Arkansas Adult Education Intake Form.
- Conduct TABE testing sessions for current and potential students.
- Maintain student files and all required documentation according to Arkansas Adult Education guidelines.
- Perform routine secretarial work in connection with confidential administrative records and documents.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Assist with the preparation of minutes from UACCM Adult Education monthly staff meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to individuals and large groups.
- Proficient in the use of general office equipment and computer software applications, such as but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Able to problem solve, organize and prioritize work, multi-task, and be flexible and accepting of change.
- Able to work independently and cooperatively with a team to achieve the mission/goal.
- Able to work effectively and cooperatively with people of various cultural backgrounds.
