Discover more at flashpoint.io We are looking for a Financial Operations Analyst to join our Finance team. Are you a problem solver who loves finding the "why" behind the numbers and finds excitement in transforming manual processes into automated, scalable workflows? Do you want to be the person who builds the foundation of truth for a global cybersecurity leader? If you’re looking for a role where you can master the details of SaaS finance today, while being mentored to own the corporate forecast tomorrow, we have a role for you. We have a role for you if, you:

  • successfully reconcile complex data across disparate systems (e.g., CRM and ERP), consistently delivering zero-defect outputs that serve as the team’s single source of truth.
  • work cross-functionally to clean up data at the source and implement communication loops that drive long-term data integrity.
  • prepare high-visibility reporting, such as Flash Reports or executive slide decks, where you translate complex financial data into clear, decision-ready insights for leadership.
  • automate manual workflows by implementing API connectors, AI-driven tools, or advanced Power Query/Excel logic to significantly increase reporting efficiency.
  • have a proven track record of delivering high-precision outputs, demonstrating a standard of accuracy that eliminates rework and accelerates reporting cycles.
  • are eager to learn the "Three Statements"; you have a foundational understanding of accounting and want to see how data flows from a single transaction into a full-scale financial model.

What you will get to do on our team:

  • Own the Data Engine: Scrub, reconcile, and maintain the integrity of our ARR and bookings data.
  • Automate: Identify manual reporting bottlenecks and use AI or system integrations (Adaptive, Salesforce, Netsuite, other APIs) to streamline them.
  • Communicate Discrepancies: Act as the bridge between Finance and other departments to resolve data misalignments in real-time.
  • Support the Monthly Close: Assist in the FP&A close process, ensuring all data is ready for the re-forecasting cycle.
  • Model Development: Gradually take on the maintenance and expansion of specific sections of the corporate financial model.
  • Ad hoc Analyses: Support ad hoc financial analysis for leadership, Finance, and cross functional partners.

What you will achieve:

  • Within 30 days
  • Systems & Data Immersion: You will have mastered the "plumbing" of our data, gaining a deep understanding of how data flows between Salesforce (CRM), NetSuite (ERP), and Adaptive Planning.
  • Flash Reporting Shadowing: You will have successfully shadowed and assisted in the preparation of the Day 1-2 Flash Reports, learning our specific internal definitions and stakeholder needs.
  • ARR Reconciliation Audit: You will have audited the current ARR reconciliation process to identify key pain points and historical data anomalies.
  • Relationship Building: You will have met with key partners in Sales Operations and Accounting to understand their workflows and where FP&A fits into those workflows.
  • Within 60 days
  • Flash Reporting Ownership: You will own the preparation of the FP&A Flash Report.
  • Monthly Reporting Shadowing: You will have shadowed and assisted in the preparation of the Monthly Reporting package and ARR Target Deliverables.
  • ARR Reconciliation Ownership: You will have mastered the process, ensuring 100% alignment between CRM and ERP data.
  • Initial Efficiency Gains: You will have prioritized the process improvement backlog and identified the first manual workflow to be streamlined using AI or system logic.
  • By 90 days
  • Monthly Reporting Ownership: You will own the preparation of the Monthly Reporting package and ARR Target deliverables.
  • QA Leadership: You will serve as the FP&A lead for all quality assurance processes related to bookings and accounting records.
  • Innovation: You will have identified, proposed, and implemented at least one process improvement using AI or new system logic.
  • Visual Storytelling: You will draft the first versions of slide decks for Ops Reviews and Leadership Offsites, turning raw data into executive-ready insights
  • External Reporting & Diligence: You will assist in preparing lender reporting and supporting the finance team during any due diligence cycles.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (complex logic, nested formulas) and a strong desire to leverage AI tools and API integrations.
  • Attention to Detail: A track record of catching discrepancies before they impact the final report.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize financial data sets into clear, actionable insights.
  • Ability to explain technical data gaps to non-financial teammates in a clear, collaborative way.
  • Exposure to SaaS tools like Salesforce, NetSuite, or Adaptive Insights is a major plus.
