Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Data Entry Clerk, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering invoices, statements, reports, personal details, documents, and information from employees, other departments, and clients.
  • Scanning through information to identify pertinent information and correcting errors in a timely manner.
  • Organizing information to optimize swift and accurate capturing, creating accurate spreadsheets, and entering/updating information into relevant databases.
  • Ensuring data is backed up and informing relevant parties regarding errors encountered.
  • Storing hard copies of data in an organized manner to optimize retrieval.
  • Handling additional duties from time to time, as required.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a relevant field, preferably in data entry, customer service, or administration.
  • A good command of English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel, with proficiency in data entry and spreadsheet management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed.
  • Proficient touch typing skills, with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
  • Familiarity with database management systems, such as Microsoft Access or similar software.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel or Tableau.
