Special Education Educational Assistant - PCA - Part-time positions at Bridgewater, Greenvale Park, Spring Creek, Middle School, and High School. Start date is flexible depending on position. Base pay plus a $2,500 stipend for PCA work. The stipend is prorated for less than 6 hours/day and is distributed evenly over the annual paychecks. Scheduled days/hours: Variable - up to 6.75 hours/day. Possiblility to combine multiple vacancies.
Qualifications
Required: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and Highly Qualified status. Highly Qualified status can be achieved by completing One of the following: (1) Two year Associate of Arts degree; OR (2) The equivalent of 60-semester credits OR (3) A passing score on the MN Para Pro Test (The district can provide supported resources for completing the assessment) *This position may also include an annual offer for summer employment. In cases when summer employment is not offered or is not comparable to school-year employment, an employee in this position may have access to unemployment insurance during the summer break depending on individual circumstances as determined by the state agency.* Duties: Will work under the direction of a licensed teacher to provide supervision of and support for students with special needs as indicated in Individual Education Plans. Services are provided both in general education and special education settings. *Educational Assistants regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible to receive district insurance benefits.* Deadline: Open Until Filled -- EOE (09/13/2023) - Employment is contingent upon the completion of a background check and a required pre-work screening.
