Salary and Benefits:

• Base Salary: GL-9/GS-11, ranging from $63,148 to $120,145 annually.
• Locality Pay: Varies based on your duty location.
• Overtime Pay: Up to 25% of base pay.
• This is a career ladder position, allowing for grade level progression from GL-9 to GS-11 to GS-12.
• Federal employment benefits, including health plans, generous leave policies, and a retirement plan similar to 401(k).

Incentives:

• Recruitment Incentive: Up to $20,000 for newly appointed Agents.
• Retention Incentive: Eligible Agents may qualify for up to $40,000 distributed over their first four years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting surveillance and patrolling borders to deter illegal activities.
• Questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws and inspecting documents.
• Apprehending individuals involved in smuggling and illegal entry.
• Using advanced technology for operations, including surveillance and tracking.
• Engaging in various forms of law enforcement responsibilities while interacting with the community.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with at least three years of primary residency.
• Age restriction applies; candidates must be referred before turning 40, with some exceptions for veterans.
• No education substitutions for GL-9 or GS-11 roles.
