Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our web and cloud applications. As a key member of our data engineering team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes. You'll work closely with our data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers to ensure that our data solutions meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes using a range of technologies, including Hadoop, AWS, Snowflake, and Python.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and software engineers to ensure that our data solutions meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines in large data environments (cloud, on-prem, hybrid).
- Help engineer data solutions/structures and define data models for the core data warehouse and data shops.
- Work with data item leaders, data modelers, and data architects to design, implement, and deliver successful data solutions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of your work and changes to ensure data quality and data governance.
- Ensure high operational productivity and quality of your solutions to meet SLAs and support obligations to our clients (data science, data analysis groups).
- Be a proactive member and supporter of agile/scrum practices to ensure safety and cycle improvements for your team.
Key Capabilities
* Strong SQL skills and ability to write queries to extract data and build performant datasets.
- Experienced insight with distributed systems like Hadoop (HDFS, Hive, Voila, PySpark) to query and process data.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java/Scala.
- Experience with at least one major MPP or cloud database technology (Snowflake, Redshift, Large Query).
- Strong involvement in data integration toolsets (i.e. Wind current) and writing and maintaining data pipelines.
- Strong in Data Modeling strategies and Data Warehousing standard systems and practices.
- Familiarity with Scrum and Agile approaches.
- You are a problem solver with strong empathy and excellent logical and relational skills.
- Ideal to have experience with Cloud advances like AWS (S3, EMR, EC2).
