Responsibilities

As an Airport Customer Service Agent, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting passengers with their baggage pick-up and resolving issues related to delayed, lost, or damaged items
  • Utilizing computer software to track and catalog luggage, ensuring seamless and efficient operations
  • Handling customer interactions with poise, professionalism, and a smile, providing first-class service to every passenger
  • Performing other related duties as assigned, leveraging your skills and experience to drive success
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 70 pounds, as well as repetitively lifting weights of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A valid in-state driver's license
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and up to a 10-year background check
  • Authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • The ability to complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security
  • Physical stamina to carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs and be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will make you an even stronger candidate:

  • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, particularly in the aviation industry
  • Familiarity with computer software and systems used in airport operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations
