Sr. Director, Global Supply Chain Enablement

Remote role Full-time Open position

Job Title: Sr. Director, Global Supply Chain Enablement

PURPOSE AND DESCRIPTION

The Sr. Director of Global Supply Chain Enablement will report to the VP of Operation, Engineering and Quality and will lead all aspects of repair site expansion and transformation.  They will leverage business expertise, cross functional global relationships, leadership, and interpersonal skills to set the vision and drive results across repair site operations.  This will include serving as the primary supply chain engagement point for numerous other functions—real estate, legal, regulatory, finance.  The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, problem solving, influencing, and people skills, as well as the ability to drive significant results in ambiguous situations.  This is a position with extensive responsibilities and a high amount of autonomy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Site development framework and roadmap

  • Own full lifecycle delivery of new facilities globally, with accountability for operational go-live within 12 months
  • Lead site selection, lease/build negotiations, and regulatory approvals with speed and pragmatism
  • Drive facility build-out and layout design optimized for electronics remanufacturing and reverse supply chain flows
  • Ensure equipment, IT systems, and supply base are production-ready at launch
  • Stand up local leadership and frontline teams, including hiring, training, and early performance management
  • Establish standardized startup playbooks while adapting to local labor, infrastructure, and regulatory realities
  • Personally manage startup risk, issue resolution, and escalation, removing blockers without delay
  • Deliver initial production ramp, yield stabilization, and cost performance in the first 90–180 days post-launch
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, EHS, trade, and quality requirements from day one
  • Coordinate closely with supply chain, quality, finance, and customer teams to align launch timing with customer demand commitments
  • Transition sites from startup mode to repeatable, scalable operations without loss of momentum
  • Continuously evaluate existing capabilities and capacity at current sites and lead transformation efforts to optimize key metrics—cost, quality, delivery, yield—that meet existing and evolving customer demands

Success Metrics & First-Year Expectations

  • New site(s) operational within 12 months of project approval
  • Initial production achieved on schedule with defined throughput and yield targets
  • Full staffing and leadership teams in place prior to go-live
  • Sites achieve stable quality and service levels within first 90–120 days of operation
  • Operating costs and capital spend delivered within approved business case
  • No material regulatory, safety, or compliance failures during launch
  • Clear handoff from launch execution to steady-state regional operations leadership

SKILL SET:

  • Demonstrated success delivering greenfield facilities to operational readiness in ≤12 months
  • Direct, hands-on experience opening and stabilizing operations internationally
  • Strong background in electronics manufacturing, remanufacturing, repair, or reverse logistics
  • Proven ability to lead from the front — comfortable making real-time decisions on site, with limited infrastructure or precedent
  • Track record of owning end-to-end execution, not just strategy (site selection → build → hire → ramp → steady state)
  • Experience managing large, cross-functional startup teams under aggressive timelines
  • Deep understanding of capital project execution, including equipment procurement, installation, and readiness
  • Financial rigor with demonstrated ownership of CAPEX, OPEX, and launch P&L performance

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations, with significant time spent launching and/or transforming new sites
  • Experience launching operations under compressed timelines or customer-committed deadlines
  • Background in repair, refurbishment, warranty, or aftermarket operation
  • Familiarity with trade compliance, customs, and cross-border logistics
  • Willingness to spend significant time on-site during build and ramp phases
  • Bachelor’s degree required in business, supply chain, technology, finance or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
