Position Summary The Regional Account Manager – Automated Genotyping plays a key role in driving adoption and growth across an assigned territory spanning the West Coast region. This fully remote, non-travel role is responsible for managing inbound leads, developing customer relationships, qualifying opportunities, and supporting researchers from their first interaction through continued use of our genotyping services. You’ll partner closely with Regional Sales Management, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure every customer receives timely, knowledgeable, and exceptional service. What You’ll Do

  • Manage inbound genotyping leads and engage new prospects through outbound sales calls and email outreach.
  • Onboard and support new genotyping customers from registration through their seventh paid order.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to identify customer needs, decision makers, pain points, and research focus.
  • Maintain detailed account activity and customer insights in Salesforce, with a target of 5–7 calls per day.
  • Advance qualified opportunities in collaboration with the Regional Sales Management team.
  • Triages customer inquiries and ensures smooth coordination with internal teams (Customer Success, Genetic Resolutions, and Software Support).
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, company calls, sales training, and the annual Sales Meeting.

What You’ll Bring Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience required.
  • Experience in life sciences, research services, or laboratory sales strongly preferred. Will consider notable Laboratory/Life Science experiences with up to 5 years of sales experience.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to uncover customer needs and present clear, compelling value propositions.
  • Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal—with an approachable, service-oriented mindset.

  • Flexible, proactive, and collaborative in partnering across teams.
