With our global team, you will be part of our flagship serverless offering, Akamai EdgeWorkers. Your software development efforts will help us push the performance and capabilities boundaries of our solution as a leader in the market. You will help us shine as a centre of excellence for web performance acceleration and edge computing.

As a Software Engineer II, you will be responsible for:

• Advocating for a positive user experience across UI, CLI, and API, help shape user-focused design decisions with product managers
• Learning about our distributed systems and the technical stack for your role, including Java programming
• Participating in code reviews and proactively contributing technical feedback to improve design, performance, and usability
• Investigating and resolving production issues by identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions
• Contributing to team culture by fostering collaboration and upholding best practices in development and deployment pipelines

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 2 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Be proficient in Angular/TypeScript, Java/Spring Boot
• Demonstrate ability to write testable code with unit and integration tests
• Demonstrate solid debugging and problem-solving skills in distributed Linux systems, microservices, and containerized environments
• Have a user-first mindset, showing ability on evaluating UX across tools and interfaces
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical collaborators
