Position: In-Person Tutor for ELA and Reading, Grades K-8 - Day Time Hours Preferred Job Description: Are you a passionate teacher looking to positively impact students' lives? Or do you have relevant tutoring experience and want to help students struggling in ELA and Reading? We are seeking enthusiastic tutors to join our team and work with students in Wilmington/Newark Delaware. As a tutor, you will provide 1-on-1 instruction for students in grades K-8. We are looking for tutors willing to provide tutoring services in person at our location, local libraries, or other agreed-upon locations. Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-person tutoring sessions with students, providing personalized instruction and support.
• Collaborate with students to help them understand the subject material and improve their academic performance.
• Maintain a consistent schedule, ensuring availability during daytime and after-school hours. (Daytime Hours Preferred)
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to engage with students effectively.
• Adapt to changes and multitask efficiently in a dynamic educational environment.
• Foster a motivating and supportive learning environment for students!
• Utilize your passion for working with kids to inspire and empower young minds.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in any field
• Teaching Certificate or a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a classroom or 1-on-1 tutoring (student teaching and practicum excluded from timing noted)
• Availability for a minimum of 6 hours per week.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students.
• Ability to work with students to help them understand the subject material.
• Dependable and committed to maintaining a consistent schedule.
