The Actuarial Development Program
The Actuarial Development Program (ADP) at Lincoln Financial Group is an industry-leading program that demonstrates Lincoln Financial' s commitment to creating highly qualified business leaders. As an ADP participant, you'll be able to explore your unique interests while developing the essential actuarial, technical, management, communication, and leadership skills you need to succeed. The Actuarial Development Program includes a series of rotations, typically every 18-24 months. For each rotation, roles are available in different business areas including Life and Annuities, Retirement and Group Protection. Experience gained will enable participants to become well-rounded actuaries with knowledge that may include Product Development, Pricing, Valuation, Modeling, Risk Management, Asset Liability Management, Investments, Data Analytics, and Internal Audit.
ADP participants are expected to pass the Society of Actuaries' exams at a prescribed pace. The program is designed to support you as you work towards your FSA and provide the training and resources necessary to become a well-rounded actuarial leader.

- Generates stochastic scenarios for the enterprise, including the development of in-house solutions and support for application across actuarial modeling.
- Assist with development, implementation, and improvement of enterprise governance frameworks key to risk mitigation with focus on scenario governance.
- Focus towards improving processes and valuations through automation and mathematical techniques.
- Assist with research and development for key initiatives and industry issues (ex. ESG and regulatory changes).
- Strategically leverage ERM tools to analyze risks of projects and strategic decisions from an enterprise perspective.
- Relationships and Communication
- Helps identify, measure, and communicate enterprise risk analysis
- Establishes effective working relationships throughout the organization, both at the corporate level and within the businesses.
- Clearly communicates results in a concise and appropriate way
- 3-5+ years of actuarial work experience
- ASA required
- Working knowledge of US accounting regimes, insurance mechanics, and product strategies
- Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in math, business, or another quantitative field
- Advanced proficiency with Excel
- Experience with actuarial software systems
- Familiarity with programming languages
- Familiarity with business visualization tools
- Knowledge of investments and enterprise risks.
- FRM/PRM/CQF or CFA designation
