Your duties will evolve as you rotate through different functional areas, but core responsibilities include:• Data Collection & Analysis: Gather operational performance metrics, flight scheduling data, and crew utilization statistics; use Excel, Access, and Smartsheet to clean, visualize, and interpret data trends.• Regulatory Research: Monitor updates from the FAA, EASA, and other aviation authorities; summarize new regulations and assess their impact on Delta’s operational procedures.• Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in flight dispatch, crew pairing, or aircraft turnaround; propose evidence‑based recommendations to streamline workflows.• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with Line Operations, Flight Safety, Technical Operations, and In‑Flight Service teams to understand interdependencies and support joint initiatives.• Project Management: Lead a semester‑long group project, develop a project charter, set milestones, track progress, and prepare a compelling presentation for senior leadership.• Communication & Reporting: Draft concise briefing documents, executive summaries, and visual dashboards for stakeholders; present findings in meetings and virtual briefings.• Safety & Security Advocacy: Participate in safety culture workshops; ensure all data handling complies with privacy and security standards.• Technology Utilization: Leverage Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Access databases, and Smartsheet for project tracking and reporting.Essential Qualifications – What We’re Looking ForTo thrive in this fast‑paced, high‑visibility internship, you should meet the following baseline criteria:• Academic Enrollment: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, Business Administration with an aviation focus, or a related discipline.• Commitment Timeline: Ability to commit to the full internship period from May 12 2025 through August 1 2025 , with a minimum of 35‑40 hours per week.• Location Flexibility: Willing and able to work onsite at Delta’s World Headquarters in Atlanta, GA (remote/hybrid flexibility may be discussed based on project needs).• Academic Excellence: Competitive GPA (generally 3.2 or higher) and good standing with your university.• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), PowerPoint, Access, and familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project‑tracking tools.• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to collect, interpret, and present data; experience with statistical analysis or data visualization is a plus.• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; comfort presenting complex information to diverse audiences.• Integrity & Confidentiality: Proven track record of handling sensitive information responsibly and prioritizing safety and security.• Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old, Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
