The Role

As a Customer Service Associate, you'll be responsible for: - Order Entry and Review: Enter and review orders through manual data entry and/or system-generated uploads, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. - Accurate Quotes: Provide accurate quotes for simple fixture, lamp, and ballast requests, meeting customer needs and expectations. - Communication: Communicate lead times, tracking updates, and order details to sales reps, distributors, and manufacturers, maintaining strong relationships and delivering results. - Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service – digitally and by phone – by responding to inquiries and providing timely updates, ensuring customer interactions are responsive, accurate, and solution-focused. - Job Files and Quote Requests: Maintain organized job files and monitor quote request activity, staying on top of tasks and deadlines. - Collaboration: Collaborate with sales team members to ensure customer needs are met and expectations aligned, working together to achieve common goals. - Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks as needed, adapting to changing priorities and responsibilities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need: - High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. - Experience in Customer Service: At least 2 years of experience in customer service, quotations, and/or administrative duties within the lighting industry is preferred. - Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software is required. - Independent Work: The ability to work independently, prioritize simultaneous assignments with accuracy and efficiency, and adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.

Bonus Points

Prior experience in the lighting industry (sales rep, manufacturer, or distributor) will be a bonus, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits

This regular part-time position is classified as hourly, non-exempt. The anticipated initial base rate/salary range is $20-$24 per hour. Depending on an individual's job-relevant qualifications, the range may be exceeded.
