Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering, Organizing, and Preparing Source Documents: You will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database. This will involve reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy, and ensuring that all necessary information is included.
  • Reviewing Data for Discrepancies: You will review data entered into our system database for discrepancies, missing pages, or information, and resolve any issues that arise using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
  • Entering Data into the System Database: You will enter both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into our system database, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Reviewing Data for Accuracy: You will review data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correct any data entry errors or duplications.
  • Maintaining Data Security: You will follow data program security practices and procedures at all times, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of our data.
  • Performing Routine Tasks: You will perform other varied clerical duties, such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading, as required.
  • Maintaining Confidentiality: You will maintain the confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times, in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Performing Other Duties: You will perform other duties as assigned by the team leader or management.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a minimum of 6 months of related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Experience in a Medical Office: While experience in a medical office is preferred, it is not required.
  • Technical Skills: You must be tech-savvy and detail-oriented, with a strong understanding of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone systems.
  • Software Proficiency: You must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet.
  • Typing Skills: You must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 W.P.M.
  • Communication Skills: You must demonstrate exceptional communication skills, conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions where clarification is needed.
  • Confidentiality: You must be able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a commitment to upholding the confidentiality of our data.
