Manager, Corporate Finance Consulting

About the position Our US office has established itself as a recognized specialist in finance and treasury management and with the growing number of projects and expansion plans, we are looking to hire someone who has the ambition to further grow in finance/treasury, and also to contribute to the development of the US and wider global team. You will have a strong core corporate finance/treasury background and experience in consulting. You will be joining a team of dynamic, experienced Consultants, who operate collaboratively to share knowledge and work at the highest standards to deliver to our clients. You will be involved in project work, business development and other activities including personalized trainings, to help you grow as a consultant. Candidates with more experience may be considered for a more senior position. This is an excellent opportunity to make your mark at Zanders by joining a small, ambitious, growing team. Your role will include:

Responsibilities

  • Providing strategic advice to clients on corporate finance solutions, focusing on optimizing balance sheets and ensuring access to capital and funding to support business growth and strategic objectives.
  • Leading finance projects within the "Office of the CFO", engaging with client executive teams to drive strategic initiatives such as financial planning, debt management, liquidity management, merger & acquisition and business finance activities.
  • Analysing companies from a financial, operational and industry perspective to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Constructing financial models to help clients assess growth strategies, capital structure decisions and transaction alternatives
  • Preparing C-suite and Board level presentations to help drive strategic decisions
  • Identifying new business/project opportunities both locally and internationally. Playing a part in commercial activities such as presentations, RFP’s, events and networking
  • Proactively researching market/product developments and actively seeking out treasury advancements
  • Participating in and coordinating internal and external knowledge delegation sessions, such as treasury/finance boot camps, client roundtable meetings, guest lecture events and internal trainings
  • Ensuring project deliverables of the team to the client are submitted on a timely basis
  • Being a career coach and mentor to a small team you manage

Requirements

  • 7-12 years’ experience in Corporate Finance or Treasury, especially liquidity planning, cash forecasting, capital planning, working capital, and market risk management (especially IR & FX)
  • At least 3 years of consulting experience
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams
  • Relevant professional qualifications including a Bachelors
  • Already holding or ambition to carry out further education such as the CTP, CPA or CFA
  • Strong presentation skills and content creation abilities
  • Willingness to travel 30% or more on occasion
  • Able to work a full business day and effectively contribute in a hybrid environment – home, office, and client
  • Team player who takes accountability and is keen to learn and grow
  • Residing and legally authorized to work in the US

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of core treasury systems and ERPs are a plus. Systems include Anaplan, Alteryx, Bloomberg, Kyriba, SAP, GTreasury, FIS
  • A fully-remote working arrangement for this role is possible, but candidates based in the New York/New Jersey area who are able to work on a hybrid arrangement have our preference.
