Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Income Board Innovation Group. As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale cloud-based applications that meet the needs of our customers, business stakeholders, and internal teams. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues, drive innovation, and ensure the highest level of quality in our applications.

Key Responsibilities

* Drive the technical direction and feature development of large-scale cloud-based applications

• Act as a technical lead, guiding and coordinating the efforts of development teams, including internal and external partners
• Assess functional feasibility by evaluating analysis, issue definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
• Drive detailed definition of component requirements through conversations with product owners and customers
• Foster continuous improvement by researching new technologies and advancements
• Prepare and present solutions by determining and planning system specifications, standards, and software
• Evaluate code to ensure it is valid, properly organized, meets industry standards, and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems
• Mentor junior developers to facilitate skill and knowledge advancement through guidance, instruction, and training opportunities
• Stay up-to-date with cutting-edge development tools, programming procedures, and computing hardware; participate in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; and engage in professional associations

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud-based applications
• Strong understanding of programming languages, including Java, Python, and SQL
• Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, and containerization technologies, like Docker
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Experience with DevOps practices, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
• Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and technologies
• Experience with cloud-based data storage and management solutions, such as Amazon S3 or Google Cloud Storage
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, with the ability to design and implement secure cloud-based applications
