Responsibilities:

As a Medical Billing Service Data Entry Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

Maximizing Insurance Reimbursement:

Analyze and optimize billing processes to ensure maximum insurance reimbursement for healthcare practice owners.

Denial Analysis and Resolution:

Identify root causes for medical insurance claim denials, underpayments, or delays, and develop effective strategies to resolve these issues.

Insurance Carrier Communication:

Interact with US-based insurance carriers to follow up on unpaid claims, delayed processing, and underpayment, and plan and execute medical insurance claim denial appeal processes.

Practice Owner Communication:

Collaborate with US-based practice owners and clinicians to complete and correct missing or incorrect data on insurance claims, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.

Charge and Payment Posting:

Accurately post charges and payments, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

Data Entry and Management:

Enter and manage billing process data, demographics, charge entry, EOB/cash posting, and denial analysis and documentation.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Minimum 1-year experience in US-based data entry and payment posting:

Proven track record of accurate and efficient data entry and payment posting in a US-based healthcare setting.

Familiarity with US medical insurance industry and insurance claims processing cycle:

In-depth knowledge of the US medical insurance industry, including insurance claims processing cycles, regulations, and best practices.

Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC:

Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC coding systems, and ability to apply this knowledge in a medical billing context.

Understanding of CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim formats:

Knowledge of CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim formats, and ability to accurately complete and submit claims.

Experience with PIP claims (an added advantage):

Prior experience with PIP claims, including analysis, resolution, and appeal processes.

  • Familiarity with chiropractic, physical therapy, and mental/behavioral health specialties (an added advantage): Knowledge of these specialties, including their unique billing requirements and regulations.

Experience with Vericle software (an added advantage):

Familiarity with Vericle software, including its features, functionality, and integration with other systems.

Excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively listen, analyze, and resolve complex issues.

Self-motivation and autonomy:

Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy.
