GA-Barred Defense Litigation Attorney; Remote

Position: GA-Barred Defense Litigation Attorney (Remote and Contract) Latitude is looking for a Georgia-based lawyer with 5+ years of personal injury defense litigation experience for a part-time flexible engagement position with a national law firm. This position is best suited for a solo practitioner or an attorney who is interested in part-time work. The successful candidate should enjoy working as part of a dynamic team and have significant litigation experience handling written discovery, motion work, depositions and court hearings. Trial experience a plus but not required. The job is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings, motions, memoranda of law, discovery requests and responses, and legal correspondence
• Attend all court appearances and depositions for Georgia cases
• Handle all aspects of discovery
• Efficiently and competently research legal issues
• Communicate clearly both orally and in writing to colleagues and clients

Requirements

• 5+ years of litigation experience working on personal injury defense cases
• Licensed to practice law in Georgia and in good standing
• J.D. from an accredited law school

Compensation

Pay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $150,000 to $185,000 when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).
