Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the dual‑role of Front Counter Customer Service Representative and Sales Intern. This role is perfect for a college student or recent graduate who is eager to develop a foundation in sales, customer service, and the printing industry. You will be the first point of contact for our customers—both in‑person and over the phone—providing friendly assistance, accurately processing orders, and identifying opportunities to add value through arenaflex’s suite of services.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Interaction & Front‑Desk Management

  • Warmly greet every customer—whether they walk in, call, or email—ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
  • Efficiently navigate the store phone system, directing calls, taking messages, and providing accurate information.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked front counter, adhering to a daily preparedness checklist.
  • Handle cash, check, and credit‑card transactions with precision, ensuring all deposits are accurately recorded.
  • Update and file customer records in the front‑counter filing system, guaranteeing easy retrieval for future follow‑up.

Sales Enablement & Order Processing

  • Become an expert on the arenaflex Customer Bill of Rights and our standard turnaround chart, using this knowledge to set realistic expectations.
  • Identify each client’s printing and duplicating needs through attentive questioning and active listening.
  • Recommend value‑added services—such as binding, finishing, design assistance, or promotional materials—that enhance the customer’s project.
  • Quote turnaround times and pricing accurately, entering estimates and finalized orders into the Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system.
  • Follow up on estimates, proactively asking for order confirmations and nurturing leads toward conversion.
  • Log new customer contacts for future outreach, contributing to the growth of arenaxflex’s client database.

Collaboration & Problem Solving

  • Refer complex inquiries to the inside‑sales representative or management when appropriate, ensuring customers receive expert guidance.
  • Escalate and resolve customer complaints with empathy, documenting issues and collaborating with leadership for swift resolution.
  • Assist bindery and other production departments during peak periods, gaining cross‑functional insight into the production workflow.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvements, helping the front‑counter team operate more efficiently.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college program majoring in Sales, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, with a friendly, professional demeanor.
